I had a good stay at Virginian Resort, where the character of the place was charming, though it felt a bit dated. The location was perfect for exploring, with easy access to trails and local amenities. The breakfast was unremarkable but did its job to get my day started. Overall, I’d stay here again but won't have high expectations.

The cabin I stayed in was spacious, and having a kitchenette made it easy to heat up leftovers, but the décor felt dark and the furnishings sparse.

The staff were super helpful, especially when they found and returned my wristwatch via FedEx—huge thanks to them!

The location was awesome—right across the street from a trail and within walking distance to a gas station, supermarket, and pizza joint.

Breakfast was basic; I had yogurt, juice, coffee, and some pastries, which worked fine to fuel me for the day ahead.

The resort felt older, and while clean, I did notice some cobwebs that indicated the cleaning staff could pay more attention.

I had a pleasant stay at Virginian Resort, especially considering the affordable rate of $79. While the river view was somewhat obstructed by vegetation, I appreciated the outdoor seating. The breakfast options were a nice perk, though the early start might be tricky for some. Overall, it offered great value for the money, and I'd definitely come back.

My single queen room was spacious, featuring dark wood siding and sturdy furniture that showed a bit of wear. The newer bedding was a plus, and while the TV was older, I enjoyed having Dish TV with plenty of channels. No complaints about noise, and the bed was comfortable for sleep.

The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, even though they aren't available 24/7. I appreciated their helpfulness during my late check-in.

The location was convenient with a nice river view, albeit partially blocked by trees. It was close to amenities I needed, making my stay hassle-free.

Breakfast had a solid selection with waffles, bagels, fresh fruit, and yogurt. It’s not a gourmet spread, but definitely a bonus since many places don’t provide breakfast.

The resort had great outdoor seating by the river, perfect for relaxing with a drink. While it’s an older hotel, everything was clean, which added to my comfort.

I had a wonderful stay at the Virginian Resort! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a bit outdated, it added to that cozy mountain cabin vibe. The breakfast was great, and I loved that everything was kept clean. Plus, the location is super convenient, just a stone's throw from local shops and eateries. Overall, it was a perfect spot for my family's ski trip, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I really enjoyed the well-stocked continental breakfast, and while the on-site restaurant was nice, I discovered a great spot in town called Duck Brand for additional dining options.

I had a lovely stay at the Virginian Resort. The price was right, especially for a dog-friendly place on Memorial Day weekend. The location was fantastic. within walking distance to stores and restaurants, and I enjoyed the river access right out the back door. The breakfast was a nice bonus, although basic, but it got me started for the day.

My stay at the Virginian Resort was quite pleasant overall. The location was perfect, as it had easy access to both dining options and outdoor activities. While my room was cozy and comfortable, I did notice some wear in the furnishings that could be addressed.

I stayed in a room with two queen beds, which was absolutely spotless. The beds were incredibly comfortable, probably the coziest I've ever experienced in any hotel, even 5-star ones. The decor had a rustic vibe, and despite it being an older hotel, everything worked perfectly for me.

The location of the Virginian Resort is fantastic, with a great pizza restaurant nearby and other amenities within a short distance. However, I wouldn't recommend walking into Winthrop directly—it’s a bit far for my liking.
